Set off this morning to find the 3 Fetch relays that have not travelled far from Bedford but 1st.....
Great Denham parkrun - complete and well done to Ame who set her best ever age grade %
Then on to Post parkrun coffee at the nearby café
So off to find Fetch South relay - the bush had substantially grown over the summer and the lamppost was next to quite a busy road. So after 20-30 mins rummaging amongst the undergrowth with plenty of hawthorn scratches and getting hooted at by traffic and getting odd looks from the nearby residents !! I was ready to give up. I was almost at the stage of cursing Fetch , his games and badges... but then ... I glanced behind me and lying on top of some soil that I had kicked over was this little beauty!.....It's hard to write in words the excitement!

And inside, perfectly dry, the instructions
Move and hide South relay - Setting off for a 1km walk south along a pleasant although muddy track. Another path that I wouldn't have done if it were not for a Fetch badge
Hid the relay at the base of a footpath sign, took a pic and recorded the what3words location
Met up again with Ame my chauffeur for the day and we set off north.....
Fetch had hinted that this one might be tricky and he was right. The landlowner looks like they had tidied up their hedge and trimmed the verge and I guess in the process swept up the Blue Scotland-bound relay
As you can see from the pic, we had thorough search through the weeds at the base of the wall but with no luck
I'll see if we can buy a new one so that the Blue relay can restart it's journey!
Lunch purchased at the local village shop and we head off west to Olney....
Arriving in Church Street, Olney it took just seconds to find the relay. Congratulations to for Nightjar for finding an excellent position between the grit box and tree and under a brick. It made me laugh that the relay had managed to stay so well hidden on the high street for 5 months and yet was so easy to find.
It really gives a great feeling of satisfaction when you find these relays - as if you have some secret mission that the other humans around you are completely unaware of
So a quick bit or route planning and set off for a 1km walk west across Olney to find the next hiding place.
Olney high street looked like quite a bustling place and we will have to return to have a better look
Nothing to do with the relay but came cross these mushrooms in a park that I thought were worthy of a pic
Finally after a bit of a search around, decided to hide the west relay in the "Y" of a nearby tree. Hopefully someone will find it soon
All in all a really fun day - found 2 out of 3 of the relays and moved them on a small distance in their journies. Next time might bring my bike to move them on - but if you are in the area, why not see if you can move them a bit further
