I didn’t want to just rush out any photograph a random 12 objects, just so I could be among the first to get a badge so I have this one a little thought and I give you this
A collection of twelve of my favourite medals from across the years. The include my first from the Dartford Half way back in 1996 (still, remarkably, my HM PB) and my three London Marathon medals - startling how much “medal size inflation” took place between my first in 1997 and the most recent in 2017.
Some are from PB’s, others from favourite races and some I just like the medal. They spend most of their time hanging on a hook under the stairs being ignored. I’ve really enjoyed getting them out and bringing back the memories, whether good or painful (sometimes both).
