Cader Idris Fell Race (Dolgellau)

The race this last weekend was even tougher than the one I did the weekend before in Llanberis - slightly longer at 10.5 miles with 5.5 miles of climbing. The inclines were slightly less steep but it still was difficult. I did feel better though and I put this down to my legs getting used to climbing.

Mad run back down the mountain - bloody locals overtaking me on the slopes although I managed to pull back on a few once I'd hit tarmac.

I narrowly missed out on the V50 1st prize unfortunately - some V50 local Welsh guy (Mark Palmer) who’s a top UK fell runner ran 4.5 minutes faster than I did! (Doing a bit of research, he’s recently run the Bob Graham Round in the 4th fastest time of 14:59!) I’m a bit gutted as I ran hard and in any other year I would have made 1st V50 easily with my time.
