Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

Notes & Comments

Longleat 10km 16/994 runners.

Didnt run too great today, went 24 seconds slower than two years ago which is a disappointment, not sure what to put it down too, think not fitting in a warm up and big mileage week didnt help but really I just lost my way a little and didnt really fight for it up the hills like I did two years ago. Pleased I scraped under 39 minutes and came 16th two years ago as well! Think wind was in back on the worse hill, but this did effect the nice downhill/flat finish with nasty headwind to tackle.

Once again watch measuring short, pretty sure did 2 years ago as well...so on this one potentially its the course!

4.02, 4.05, 3.28, 3.43, 4.00, 4.09, 4.05, 4.33 (major collapse up the hill!) 3.53, 3.00 (890m - 3.22 pace)

Was 179m of elevation climb, this was over two hills but one was done twice. The worse hill (x2) is around 60m accent in space of around 1.20km and is extremely hard going!

Splits make for really interesting reading and show how hilly the course is. 180m of climb over 10k is grim. Still a really good run and as you say probably wasn't helped by a big week before.

Great work Pete. 5 days off in the last 4 weeks and high mileage. It definitely wasn't a race you were targeting. Same standard of field each year and you got the same position maybe the windy conditions were the deciding factor. Good effort, nice to see you racing lots.
Please wait... saving your change.
