Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

edso90 Really pleased with that performance and time. Achilles has been nipping recently and it manged to grumble all the way round but never spoiled my enjoyment of this. Wee hill at the end didn't seem so wee when I got to it. Chuffed all round! Bit of a bummer they had no water for us slower ones at the turn at Cramond.

HappyG(rrr) Bizarrely this will be my first, timed, tarmac 10K. Should be able to do about 44, hoping for a bit less possibly? 43:18. Pleased with that. Felt very slow and hard tho! Bit of a hill at the end was tough and it was HOT!

IanS Trying to get Siouxsie a PB, unfortunately it was not to be. Started off okay and were still on target at 5K but it was warm and muggy, and the wee hill at the end takes more out of you than you think it will.

Sunbed Athlete Met up with Top Bloke Boab(glad you enjoyed the minature.it will be a full bottle @ Stirling 10k) before race as he gave me a lift fae Bonnyrigg to the race start.Need to look this saying up m8.BELAS RODAS.its Portugees. You'll laugh at it m8.(think thats how you spell it).
Race went good.Ran thru halfway in 16:19.Went away too fast at start after telling Boab what the start was like & saying watch you dont get sucked in then i go and just that. Was 6 secs slower than last years time.
Finished in 14th place with 7 pts towards the GP so not too bad a day.

Triplet Dad Hurray, the big day is here - first race as a fetchie. Looking forward to saying hello to some of you. Hoping to dip under the hour for the first time today, weather is miserable though, pouring from the heavens in Edinburgh this morning, not sure if that will have an impact on my time or not - we'll see. Update - Well it wasn't the weather that ruined my PB in the end, just a lack of race experience at this distance. I got my starting direction totally wrong, thought I was safe at the back which turned out to be the front so I went off way too fast at the gun, going through 2k in under 8 mns which is not what I'm used to. Something had to give and I had to stop and walk at 4k, and then walked and ran as best as I could the rest of the way. I thought I had just about done enough for a PB but the hill at the end stopped that, came in 12 seconds off a PB and I still haven't gone under an hour. Never mind, I had a great day and met some lovely fetchies, and it gives me something to aim at for Linlithgow next month.
