About this parkrun

Stunning location! Undulating route. Road shoes fine. Allow time to walk from carpark to the start.

Stunning scenery. Wonderful atmosphere.

Two laps on gravel /tarmac trails. Mostly flat. Despite large numbers a lovely cafe that was able to cope. One not to miss

Fantastic venue for a most memorable parkrun. My 100th. 1 small and 1 large lap. Fantastic. Thank you.

Definitely a favourite, though that means it can get crowded. Lovely gardens, good paths, lots to see and brilliant cafe, plus easy parking on site.
29th May 2019

Entrance to site gate closes strictly at 08:50. If you arrive after 08:50 you will not be permitted entry (due to conditions of NT usage licence).

Lovely run and worth a non-running visit too.

Amazing views of the abbey. 2-lapper with a small and a large lap around some stunning grounds. Toilets and parking available, but arrive early - gates shut at 8:50.

Very picturesque run around Fountains Abbey, gently undulating, good paths. Narrow start can be congested. Leave plenty of time to walk to start from car park (10 mins). Unless NT member you have to leave the grounds by 10 (ok to be in cafe though)

Lovely views as you run the 2 undulating laps around the Abbey. Great paths, excellent NT cafe. Very friendly atmosphere.

Undulating 2 lap course on tarmac paths in spectacular surroundings. Quite a walk from parking to the start so allow at least 15 minutes. Good cafe afterwards with quality breakfast though at a price

Lovely setting, undulating course with one small lap & one large lap around the Abbey & lakes . Great cafe for socializing afterwards

Amazing location for a parkrun, undulating on good paths with a small loop then a large loop to finish. Parking is 10 minutes walk to the start with toilets available near car park. Pass Abbey and water park. Good cafe at visitors centre

Beautiful parkrun course in one of my favourite places. Some inclines in the two lap course and the end is after what feels like a steep hill for my worn out legs! Make sure you leave enough time to get down from the car park.

I'd heard rave reviews and they're all true. Absolutely stunning place to run. My favourite out of the 75 I've done so far. Undulating, defo not flat. Lots of parking. Great cafe. Bloody loved it.

Couple of laps in a canny location. Flat, paths, fast.

Agree with the other reviews - most scenic of them all. Was very crowded though early on.

One wee loop then a bigger loop, a few undulations, road shoes fine. Single file over the short bridge.
