Freeman Lovely flat course although there are quite a few corners. However it is well organised and the weather today was perfect.

found the mile boards where somewhat out of a linement from the 7 mile to the finish and it also seemed a long slog from 9 to the finish, apart from that ITS A GOOD RACE

PaulaMc Gun to chip time, and we were quite a way back. I'm going with my Garmin time (which I forgot to stop for a bit after crossing the finish line)

Athlete In Progress Totally surprised myself !!!!!

REALLY CHUFFED WITH RESULT!

Garmin Watch Time: 1:27:45

Ran along with Vicci (Our Group Coach) running a good strong steady pace. Worked hard but not too strained and miles seemed to just fly by up to mile 8. Hit some horrible stony ground at mile:8 and then a was a test of mental strength to keep it going the last 2 miles.

MILE SPLITS:

TeeBee Unbelievable - got within 9 secs of my PB with half the training (must still have a bit of marathon fitness). I've also moved up a age grade since then so in effect I have improved!

StorksRock Time as per Garmin - hurrah - PB. But the only time I've ever raced 10m so a PB was inevitable. Glorious day. Time works out at around 9 min:-)s a mile, when I was aiming for 10, so very pleased

Burto This run went brilliantly! Weather was fantastic and I felt really strong despite doing the Bushy parkrun the previous day. Some parts of the course were a bit hairy, due to battling with traffic and squeezing onto a pavement that was a) narrow and b) uneven, but the return leg from Kingston Bridge towards Richmond was really enjoyment and less hectic. Had a fair bit of energy left at the end due to very conservative start, so pushed on at the eight-mile mark. In retrospect, should have pushed harder at the beginning, although I enjoyed it more for being at a comfortable pace that was well within my limits. It gives me confidence that I could get close to my ten-mile PB next year if I keep up the training during the winter!
