What's included in the entry fee?

½ Marathon: your entry fee includes finisher’s medal, finisher’s technical t-shirt, event giveaway, electronic timing, downloadable finisher’s certificate (from marathon photos live) and water stations along the course and at the finish.

Where can I stay? What is there to do in the area?

There is a wide variety of accommodation to suit all budgets in Inverness although we recommend you book soon as it does get booked up in advance for race weekend.

New date announced for our 2021 event

We would like to give you an update on the 2021 Inverness ½ Marathon & 5K, which after careful consideration will now take place on Sunday 16 May 2021.

The safety and welfare of our runners, volunteers, staff, partners and stakeholders is at the heart of everything we do and will always remain our priority. This new date gives us a realistic timeframe to ensure the safety of everyone involved and to deliver a safe and amazing event experience.

We have today launched EARLY BIRD entry for both the half marathon and 5K.

We look forward to seeing you on the #RunInverness start line in 2021.

Join us at the virtual Loch Ness Runners Cafe this Saturday to celebrate what would have been the Baxters Loch Ness Marathon & Festival of Running weekend.

Hosted by Bryan Burnett, there is an exciting line-up of guests including Vassos Alexander, sports presenter and Runner's World head coach Tom Craggs with lots of running chat, and training tips. Plus some fantastic prizes will be up for grabs during the show!
