Think that one is caravans rather than tents. Ukcampsite has a few possibilities too if I can make it |

Damn, ws all hopeful yesterday. Looking increasingly unlikely unless I do the up and back in a dya. Anyone want my place ir know someone who does? Might as well off-load it wilst I can rather than keep dithering. |

[Rosehip can you still defer? I've had to defer my place to 2022, due to a clashing family celebration].

I see that after "concerns" from some competitors the YORM route will now be marked in the same way as previous years. Does anyone else find this a bit confusing? This is meant to be a fell race - or at least it's now being ran under FRA guidelines - so does marking the course go directly against the criteria that the FRA have mandated? I'm not sure. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but in my experiences these particular races (YORM, Hobble etc) have historically been ran in a particular way and actually pay scant attention to what the FRA have to say .... and let's face it, they're trail races really - there would be hell to pay if, say, I managed to trim a bit corner of the route off and save myself a bit of distance. It's curious.

To me YORM is definitely a trail race (haven't done the Hobble)! It's pretty well marked all the way round; no necessity to carry a map and compass; feed stations on route etc. Not that I'm complaining as I love the event, but agree it's not a 'fell' race!
