I think I was only in Yorkshire for 12 years. I've been in Lancashire now for 24 years plus the first 12 years of my life. I prefer The Dales to the Forest/Trough of Bowland though. Happy Yorkshire Day. |

When it was obvious that the twins needed to be whipped out in an emergency, the consultant was all set to transfer Mrs XB to Burnley. Deb told him to fuck off; no way was she having them born in Lancashire.

Happy Yorkshire Day folks Me, born in West Yorkshire, and apart from a year in Newcastle and a few months in Auckland NZ, always lived in the West Riding |

Happy Yorkshire Day coachie x Have I told the story of my first Yorkshire Day? I was working with a very ‘close knit’ group of people in an office in a West Riding city when I first heard of YD. I thought it was a joke or wind up for me: I was very much an outsider. I had to google it to make sure they were being serious. They thought Wakefield was the far east so anything was possible |

Planning a visit to Ingleton Falls anytime soon? Might be wise to steer clear for the moment! I got home last night and could literally hear the water roaring down the beck and spilling down the road, it's crazy how much water we've had in the past 48 hours! |

I've only been once so I can't remember what it's meant to look like but it was nothing like that I don't think!
