Firstly, it's of two good friends and clubmates who are the smiliest, most supportive runners (though by no means the fastest) in the club, and their photo is being used to promote the Torre Half in February (they had no idea until another friend received the email). And secondly, somewhat ironically, because that Half has a 2.5 hour cut-off and they were hovering on cut-off time and were being shooed along quite aggressively by the sweeper wagon - and when they got to the finish, they were outside the 2.5 hours so weren't given a medal And yet the Torre council use them as poster girls... (They're going back this year anyway. It's too enjoyable a weekend not to, if we're allowed by covid.)

A local multiplex cinema quoted £800 for the hire. The Plaza charged nothing. champnews.com
