Did it this year - yes you just take print outs of stuff to the expo - nothing in the post. The expo is quite good, not as good as VLM.
Not sure what it will be like coming from outside WDW, but the difference between getting there for 3am and 5am (which my DH did) is probably about an hours delay so don't leave it until late.

Lovely, thanks for the info - yes I would rather get there early and not be stressed, might take own cardboard box, pillow and lots of jumpers and try for a bit more shut eye. Apparently there is a kind of VIP waiting area but it seems like a lot of money, not sure what you would get apart from somewhere undercover to sit.
Minnie looks like we are both doing the Birmingham Half and Holmfirth 15, might see you at some point in the next few weeks!

Sorry Ndellar I looked out for you at Holmfirth 15 but didn't see you. Someone shouted "fetch" but I think it was a bloke. It wasn't very well attended Fetchie-wise!
Have to confess to paying extra for the VIP area, but it was very nice and I think my Mini might have got hypothermia if we hadn't booked it for all the family afterwards!

Sorry HOD, forgot it was you! Didn't realise you were off to Florida too - I am soooooo jealous, we won't be going back until 2013 and it won't be for the marathon. We might get a few days at Disneyland Paris next year though.

this is on my list of runs to do & has been since 1992, when i 1st heard about it while being 'Opening Crew' at Euro Misery!
Think i'll target 2012 & take Missus & Daughter (who will then be 6).
like the idea of doing all the races & could run the 5k with daughter & SWMBO. :O)
by then my little monster should be a parkrun 5K Vet... ;O)

Did it this year - the gridlock coming off the freeway at 4 a.m. was dreadful, very disappointing lack of organisation from Disney. And the Chear squad packages were a waste of money - it was too cold to wear the t-shirts and the cheering points were non-existent. Having said all that, I did enjoy the event - running through the Magic Kingdom was magical :-):-)
