Fragile Do Not Bend
I’ve never seen the point of Bake Off, Masterchef or any of those programmes. I only want to watch food being made if it’s instructional (i.e. shows you how to make the whole thing), otherwise it’s just looking at food that you’ll never get to eat.

I made one of the cakes from last week's Bake off, and I'm going to make the fig rolls from this week 😊

That’s nice but I still don’t see the point of watching a programme where they show you a couple of brief glimpses of the making of said fig rolls, then they show you someone eating them.

[it's all about the 'human interest', innit, not really about baking or sewing or pottery or whatever other hobby/skill people are supposed to be demonstrating.]

Also, all the similar format programmes that they’ve spawned. I can’t remember the titles but I’ve seen trailers for things like pottery making, and making things out of Lego. 🙄

[Mac, totally agree with that, and there are so many, including buying abroad as well. It's like who gives a ****, do it or don't]

[yes!] But no to the pottery programme, I loved it and it got me back into making pottery, plus I learnt plenty from it. I’m looking forward to the Throwdown coming back on telly next year!
