Yeah, was gonna ask the same ITG. No fetchies anywhere near me. It has helped that I've moved my zone to actually where I live now though. I see you're around the other side of the bay JCB with the 2 bays run in common, albeit mine was one way

I don’t think it really matters. Quite a lot of Fetchies on the leaderboard have a density of zero, ie no one sharing their patch.

There's also a badge for 50,000 points in Fetchpoint. Surprisingly no one has it yet.

To back up Fizz' comment - fetchpoint works the same way wherever you are in the World. You just have to set your homepoint (which you can move as much as you like) wherever you are.
The only point to watch out for is that all the daily updates are made using UK time - which caught me out a few years back on a trip to Australia - plotted a route, went for a run then came back to find a bug had appeared in the next street while I was out.

Not having any neighbours can make a real difference, but I used to live in N London and still had no neighbours within range. But also having an early morning neighbour can be a drawback - in that they get all the gems, infect all your bugs, gobble up all your flowers, and claim all the traffic lights.

I didn’t mean it wasn’t possible to score highly with a density of zero, I meant with the amount of running I do I’m not going to get to 10,000 points unless a Fetchie or two springs up near me

That's great FunkyPOM! Struthious was near that area too, but has left FE a couple of months ago (don't know why).
Em, I think that having people close by is a net benefit, simply because of additional points being on the board, as well as the traffic lights, bug infections. The hindrance I see, though, would be the flowers, and they can be quite a high proportion of the score.
And CA is right, currently 9am is the day split here for me. Though some weeks back it was 10am for a short time, and before that it was 11am for about 6 months. Since bugs only show up after a few hours, running before the daily one shows up means that another activity will need to be done to collect the bug, before 9am the next day.
A density of zero just means there's no one very close. I don't know the technical distance but there could be multiple people but they're probably not closer than 3 miles away.

I used to have a neighbour who cycled to work every day laying and watering a trail of flowers. Every now and again I'd run in that direction and collect all his flowers. If there were traffic lights on his commute that was a bonus! But now that he's moved, points are much harder to come by.
