L2B looks OK, but probably a bit too much road and too many ££s for me (and I'll be in the Lakes that weekend anyway :))

Mr. K. I ran the test event they did for this last year, really enjoyed it. A lot of trail, especially in the latter stages and not too much road. They mark the route in some places with little post signs and spray paint on the ground, but it still relies on a fair bit of navigation. Should be a good one based on my experience with STE's races. Luke Ashton did a write-up about it here: lukeashton.blogspot.co.uk |

57.5 Degrees of Pain
If the WHW counts as a 100 miler I was recovered physically in a couple of months. Mentally I struggled with wobbly running mojo for a lot longer.

Nearly a month later after completing the Spine Challenger, my ankle and heel are still bruised, I have the remnants of dead skin on my feet from the blisters, and 2 numb toes. But... If i didnt have the footwear problems i had during the race, the rest of me is fine and i am pretty sure i could run full training distances again by now. |

Northern Exile
I was in a similar situation after the 2014 UTMB, my feet were in a dreadful state and it took some time for everything to return to normal. Apart from that, I think I recovered relatively quickly. To be honest with you, the Bob Graham took more out of me than the UTMB, I was tired for months afterwards. At least that's what it felt like .... I can remember trying to do the Yorkshireman "ultrahalf" a few weeks afterwards and feeling like I was dead on my feet. |
