We're hoping that Jamie's triathlon goes ahead on Sunday. It's not a big event, but it is the National Championships, so TriathlonScotland might wish to be seen to be not doing.

The other big issue which people have forgotten is the municipal cogs that put these things on now have other jobs and roles.
Example - dragon’s back can’t finish at Cardiff castle - 96 gun salute today, post-proclamation tour by Charles, training for funeral etc… then there’s the policing etc.

As far as I know, the Pleshey and Essex Half is going ahead on Sunday. Which is a bugger because I'm tail bike - usually the dullest 3+ hours of my year.

The main reason given is that part of the bike course runs along the South Deeside roads. Which are likely to be filled with fast-moving police and security vehicles on Sunday. That’s the story, at least.
To be fair, the organisers are all volunteers and I’m sure they’d rather it went ahead. Now they’ve got the additional ballache of rescheduling (or whatever other arrangements might need to be made).
