I used to avoid Yorkshire and Wales. Then I married a Yorkshire girl and Ironman decided to put the best IRonman race on the planet in Wales so I have failed massively on both counts…..

I avoid Merseyside.

I have managed to successfully avoid the Lake District apart from one national 25 and expect to successfully carry on.

I've even been to Devon, Cornwall and Scotland more often......

I have officially opted out of the Exmouth Tri this weekend. I probably could have got round but very slowly indeed (especially on the bike ride) and I know for sure I wouldn't have enjoyed it.

It seemed like a good idea when I originally entered in January 2020 ;-)

Oh, yes. Whilst we're at confessional.... I won't be hauling my sad, flabby aris' down the long road to Nottingham this weekend. I've decided not to add insult to injury by paying extortionate fuel and adding accommodation costs to what is already a miserable weekend for me.
