EA I have been picking relatively light things up, and putting them down again. Also, been crying doing triceps dips because it fatally killed my arms to death |

Question for the panel If you can get 2 water bottles on your bike (so 3hrs max) and you are riding long and don’t pass any (open) cafes etc what do you do? Camelback? Soft flask of water is back pockets of jersey? Loops so you pass home? Or something else?! |

Well yes there is that option but I’m guessing when I’m out for 5+ hrs that 2 bottles may not be enough 😜

Check for natural sources? totriornottotri.wordpress.com “ It was a nice ride through the small towns of Otivar and Jete. I didn’t fill my water bottles as there were wasn’t an obvious fountain and most places looked closed. I knew there were some places on the way. I hoped they’d be open. I probably regretted that decision. The valley was hot and as it was south facing there was no hiding my silky smooth freshly moisturised skin from the sun. The road climbs steadily upwards past the Instagram favourite of Junta de los rios. I was down to my last half bottle of water and was saving it in case I really needed water! I knew I was at most a 30 minute downhill ride to water although the ride back wouldn’t have been fun. I was eyeing up every building and stream bed for taps or drops of water. I had a little 5 min break in the shade to lower my body temperature and then just as I thought I was out of luck and approaching the blazing heat of the open plateau a beautiful fountain appeared at 900m altitude. I drank lots and filled both bottles. Most welcome.” |

I've sure everyone's different, but I can't take in more than 200ml per hour without throwing up.

When we were mountain bikers we used platypus pouches in our bags with a shoulder straw / bite valve combination. Which is fine if you’re carrying a bag. Some folk I know have a couple of extra cages mounted behind their saddle. I’ve also seen special containers that fit in between your Tri-bars. |

Bottle in cycle pockets is an option. Ultra running soft flasks are good for that. |
