I've posted this elsewhere so apologies if you're bored with my repetition but, if I was to be considering joining the dark side (Zwift), what would be a decent smart trainer that wouldn't break the bank?
Thanks

A lot of the folks at my CC have either Wahoo Kikr or Elite Direto. But I’ve got no experience as I moved from old-skool turbo-trainer (speed and cadence only) to Wattbike.

Go direct drive if you can, Kickr Core around £700, think there are some (Elite Direto) that are around £550. Tuesday pain sessions become mandatory once you've purchased mind...
ION Amused to see Harry Tanfield (UK pro rides for AG2R La Mondiale but didn't make TdF cut) slither his way into the VTTA TT on E2 Sat. Not a Vet, so ended up as a reserve, but think he's now been placed. He was last reserve so the only rider under 40 in the race. Sandbagger....
For the oldies, Deenzy rides about 10 mins after me. I'll pass on Hotel greetings.

Greppers, latest email from Nuffield is about us having to scan the NHS Test and Trace QR code with the new app on entry.

We are supposed to do that at our council place, too. I doubt my broken phone camera is up to the job.

Could someone please explain very simply indeed, what goes on in my Garmin 735xt's little brain when I do OW swimming? The display is split in two, top showing time, bottom showing distance. So far so good.
Today's admittedly very short swim was very definitely three times round a triangular-ish loop. The full loop is 200m and I admit to not going right to the buoys so say each loop was 100m (though probably more.) I know GPS is not 100% accurate, so instead of 3×100m I would accept a total swim distance of a minimum of 250m.
The time I'm not bothered with because I forgot to stop my Garmin until I'd got changed 🙄 but as we change at the water's edge that doesn't affect the distance.
But what does the Garmin show? 115m in a straight line. Is there any point in having an OW option on this watch or is there something I'm not doing to get a more accurate trace?

Mine's already stuck 2 fingers up to it. iPhone 6 - won't run late enough iOS to cope. So bored of Apple bringing out bloatware, just to force hardware upgrades.
