Great numbers PoD, happy place to be. And miles and cafes, and swimmage, and sunshine. What a happy thread of affleets we mostly are (but Sorry about your ankle Rae).

I've sent the Young lad out on MY bike to accompany his mother on a real-world ride (his racer doesn't fit him now he's such a lanky bugger). We only realised as he went to get on it that he's only previously ridden "clipped in" on the turbot and the watter. Ha, what could possibly go wrong.....

Rae, I was told by my surgeon that I would probably want some of the metal work in my elbow removed after about 12 months. I said, politely, that I would be very happy never to have my elbow cut open again thank you very much, but Mr A was doubtful.

Three years on I get occasional twinges but I still think that's acceptable to avoid more interaction with a scalpel.

I feel you LaDa.

I literally woke up screaming when the nerve block and morphine finally wore off after the op to put the bastard things in, I felt like my leg was trapped in a mangle or part way through a wood chipper.
These odd stabby/spasmy type pains are rather unpleasant, but nowhere near that level so far.
Nearly 40k biked today and it was absolutely fine, too. I may attempt a small running in the morning.

Hope it calms down Rae.

I have, absurdly, cycled 215 miles today. An hour of mid morning rain, but after that quite breezy but plenty of sun.

More or less followed the entire East Angular coast from near the Wash all the way across and then down. It was utterly splendid, apart from the unavoidable need to go through Great Yarmouth.
