I have ruined. No mince pies, but we have enough left over party food from yesterday to last until January.

I did the West Midlands CX champs today, only my 2nd race of the year and 11th Vet.
Seems that I am fit and if I don't crash I still go ok. Nowhere near the guy in 10th but considering my lack of racing it is probably my best race for 2 seasons.

Morn' all.
I have discovered there's a direct train from Mol to Brussels. Mol is only 17 minutes by car further from Borkel than Neerpelt, from which there is no direct train (a change is required at Herentals or Lier, and it's far from guaranteed you'll make the connection without having to wait an hour).
It goes at 22 minutes past the hour and starts from Mol, so you're guaranteed a seat by one of the tiny, just big enough to support a laptop, tables. This means I can start working on the train, without worrying I'll get distracted and miss my stop.
These bits of information combined may buy me an extra hour in bed on a Monday morning and the potential to knock off earlier on a Monday evening, which means more time for sportsing! (see, this post *is* meant for this thread, not the things you didn't know yesterday thread).
Also, this week I get to rugby twice, as I have to stay in Brussels for a work thing on Friday. And I've discovered that the reason rugby people didn't want to run on Tuesday last week was they'd arranged an extra session on the Monday that l wasn't yet in the right fb group to know about. But now I am, so I might actually be rugbying three times.

I know you’ve been out of bed an hour longer than us Rae but, all the same, that’s one hell of a mundane essay....

I'm an athlete again A tubby one mind, but an athlete...
After two weeks of twat all, it's time to get the body at least moving again, before training begins Dec 17th.
This will consist of dreadmill jogs of around 30 mins, easy noodles on the watter of about 45mins at 65-70%, with a slug of strength and core + stretching. Nothing that generates fatigue.
Applied for my Kona legacy spot over the weekend. I find out what year I've been allocated on Feb 28th. I'm guessing 2021, but 2020 is possible. Oddly it's thrown me out of synch: struggling to determine where to go and what to aim for next year - eviscerating myself again for something I;ve already got via the back door is not doing it for me (yet) but wondering whether to aim for other stuff while keeping IM ticking over.
Hmmmm....*ponders*
