We had the sun coming up last year as the swim started. Actually caused me some confusion since the turn buoy was orange and in the same general direction.

There is a mild hill in Ely but otherwise not bad. Oh and the Fenland winds of course n Plus you might get done cheering from me too!

I know some f&*ker that did the Ely Monster bike with his seatpost rammed up his arse.

Horrifyingly, HoD has beaten me out of the water at Ely.

Year Gobi and I did it the event was held in February.

I was not impressed with the 'new' run course last year - 8 bloody laps! I was running like Quasimodo by the end with the weight of all the bloody lap bands.....

Whilst not doing the Woburner, I am doing the Oly which I assume is on the day as a warm up for Weymouth

Proud Dad Alert

Young lad has been taking part in school sports day for the last 2 days (what an excellent end-of-term skive that is: half a day of competition, an afternoon of rounders, another half day of competition and he could have played games this afternoon but he chose to go back to class because it was woodwork and IT ).

Anyway, we found out this evening he’s been selected for the school team to go to the County championships, running 1500m and 800m. I am bursting with pride. :)
