Yep there is (was?) a deca event held in Avon Tyrell in the New Forest. Even with glorious scenery and a decent 8 mile-ish bike loop they'd go insane by the end. I cannot even conceive of the horror of riding up and down that bloody service road 100's of times.... |

720 times round the lake seems positively humane. Was it 8 or 12 times up the RHS (as viewed from the boathouse) when we did midweek stuff? |

It's all a fog now mate, as I get the midweekers (with transitions at the wrong end of the lake) confused with events based out of the boathouse end. Definitely remember tiptoeing round a 180 turn in the slashing rain on the RHS (from the boathouse) whilst doing an event based at the non boathouse end...think the turn was where the 'chicane' is when doing a looped Eton Supersprint style loop. These guys will actually be living at Dorney for this event, they'll not leave the site for 10 days. Jeeze.... |

That'll be a requirement for a definition revision then, for the phrase "It's a bit Dorney out there" ?

Morning (soon) Run walk effort last night with she who must be obeyed. Finished off with a 300 ish metre "sprint" to the car park. It wasn't pretty. |

Morning. Day of rest with a schlep to Weymouth thrown in. Looks like the last hefty race w/e of the year + Gobi's coast to coast so good luck all, especially those facing inflatable obstacles. |

Do we know what coast-to-coast thing Gobi's doing? This is this weekend and looks like one of those things that makes me glad I see less of Argie these days so he can't talk me into it. ratrace.com |

Looking forward to the Weymouth race report - especially the logistics of 70.3 and 140.6 happening at the same time.

Cheers Greppers, faint whiff of ITU Leeds about the gig, but hoping it'll work out. I think Challenge ran both half and full there so maybe some of the wrinkles will be worked out.

I really want it to be a success - Weymouth is a truly fabulous place, and it would be magnificent if the whole town got behind it.
