A thread with no judgement or reprisals for what makes a run fabulous.
Today I forgot my water, had to use a sports centre loo half way round (stopped my watch of course) and took an hour and 45 to do 7 miles. But, it was fabulous. I changed to summer-hot-as-hell run-walk intervals of 1min30 run/1min walk, and today for the first time in months I feel good about my running and my grumbly knees aren't grumbling. Whoot whoot.
Now share what made your run fabulous today please

I saw a buzzard in the sky, a deer and a red squirrel on my run. It was sunny and I was glad I went earlyish as it's roasting outside.

I went early for my long run, it was a tough route but I'm glad the cows were in another field and I saw a few deer. Was lovely and quiet.

I actually felt like I was making progress with couch-to-5k, and there were countless fluffy ducklings on the water, which is always my favourite thing about this time of year

Left the house at 7.10 am. Just a little out and back along pretty lanes. Verges full of cow parsley and buttercups. Inquisitive lambs. Bird really noisy and cheerful. Blue skies and very warm sunshine. No traffic. What's not to like?

What made it fabulous was revisiting a route I haven't run for a while, stopping to take in the views and the wildlife, and seeing hardly anyone the entire time I was out. It was a real escape.
