Oh Corrah I kind of wish I was doing it there was lots of people chatting to others you won’t feel like you’re on hour own I’m sure. My friend and I stayed with another runner for a while at the castle and chatted to loads of people on the way round.

While I was having my foot attended too I found a four leaf clover under the table in the medic tent. I didn’t pick it, I left it for others to have luck from it too.

I know it's all paranoia and I will be fine once I get down there, just totally scared as hell for sone reason and the weather forecast is not filling me with confidence either.

Let’s hope they get the forecast wrong ours was wrong as it was supposed to be dry & overcast
If you can get a poncho - I got one in Poundland honestly they were amazing. Big enough to go over your pack and great at keeping us warm as well as dry.
I had arm sleeves so I could as a bit of warmth if needed and had a long sleeve for the night section but as you’re staying over you should be ok.

Am wearing the sun sleeves in any case and will pack a poncho. I have one for just this sort of occasion.
