Thanks everyone.
I might get the app and look at the settings there, or I could link it to strava (my Garmin does already push data there).

Or maybe I'll do both!

It's fun playing with this stuff at the beginning :-)

Morning. Anyone who spent the night between 8.7 and 13.7 km - consider yourself greeted.

For the SWCP we used Google maps - which we had to update manually based on our position on the official map.

No idea on all the Garmin/ strava questions. I log manually - only running.

All quiet on the road out of Hobbiton today, apart from the neatly spaced line of runners in both directions. :)

I think most of us are on the same highway still, apart from one or two who have already turned off on the road to Rotorua.

Looking forward to getting to Rotorua (it's where my daughter stayed when she visited Hobbiton a few years back) and seeing the lake there.

Has everyone managed to get started?

I crossed over the Waihou River. It wasn't as spectacular as it sounds :)

I'm 20 miles in, 2nd of the outdoor runners, but a lot further back when other activities are counted (8th overall I think)

Got underway with 5 miles this evening but the app isn’t picking them up for some reason. Will log manually in a bit, if they don’t come through
