Our new house is progressing, and the Boxing Day sales seemed a good time to buy the appliances we'd need. When we demolished, we got rid of the gas connection and sold our gas cooker. In the new house we're planning on an induction hob (https://www.smithscity.co.nz/samsung-60cm-induction-cooktop-nz64h57479k-8874794) and an electric oven. We're struggling to decide which one to get. We do a lot of cooking / baking (bake out own bread, pizza, etc), but I learnt my cooking skills from Ready Stead Cook! rather than anything fancy. The shortlist is: Beko BBO60S1MB smithscity.co.nz Samsung NV70K3370BS smithscity.co.nz Bosch HBA534ES0A smithscity.co.nz Any advice knowledgeable people? |

I forgot to mention, the oven will be below the worktop, in a peninsular in our new kitchen. |

Go NEFF I bought a second hand one off eBay and it’s the best cooker I’ve ever used. And my brother has just done his kitchen up and bought a new one and him and his wife love it.

Can't answer regarding the cooker. But my mil bought an induction hob with her knew kitchen and was confounded by having to replace all her pans. A cost she hadn't factored in.

I probably wouldn't go Beko. I don't think they're as robust as Bosch. We have a bosch oven that came built into the house. I think it's nearing the end of it's but it must be at least 15 years old at least judging by the design and cabinet colour choices in the kitchen. I use it at least once most days and the previous owner was a very enthusiastic cook and baker. I'm not really familiar with Samsung so don't want to offer an opinion there. neff is very good too. Had one of those in my old house but a lower end model as it was a small kitchen and we knew we would move within a few years.

Got worried about the prices - till I factored in NZD. I have a double bosch - very good except difficult to clean and the bulb holder tends to stick. Cost me £60 to get a man to undo it a few years back. I promised myself one with slide and hide doors (like Bake Off, if you ever get that) if ever I bought a new one. |

I just replaced a 20 year old Neff which still worked (just not as efficiently as it once did plus the fan was broken). I’d go Neff or Bosch

We upgraded all our appliances last year. They are all Bosch now and we're very happy with the performance and quality. We went for the Bosch MBA 5350.0B Double oven. We wanted a raised oven as we're getting on a bit. Cleaning it is pretty easy. Seems economical with energy, too.
