The last Christmas Snow that I remember was 1962. Might be looking back through rose tinted glasses but it started in the morning on Christmas Day and we spent all afternoon building snowmen and playing in the street. Then it never stopped. Even the floods afterwards were fun when you were a kid. Sitting on dads bike as he cycled through the water.

I was only 3 in 1962, & don't remember the snow that year. Reliably informed by my big brother that it started snowing here in our part of Essex on Boxing day. Remember white Christmas in 1970 and like Rosehip recall snow one year in the early 1980s, but think it fell in the lead up to Christmas. In 1995? it started snowing heavily around 6pm on Boxing day and settled. Not much otherwise I can remember.
