All I can find is that it is a circular route - Boston, Crowland, Spalding, Donnington, Boston and reports vary between 58 - 66 miles. I've tried contacting the local tourist boards but no one has a clue! Any idea where else I can try?

um Feb 2021 11:26am, 15 Feb 2021 4,271 posts	0 um From cambridgeramblers.org The circular Brown Fen Trail runs from Boston, south towards Spalding and Crowland, before returning north to Boston via Donington. The route also 62 miles long. Your editor tried in vain to obtain details of both these routes from the Tourist office in Ely. From another souce, eventually she learnt that waymarking has indeed been underway, and a leaflet has been produced, which describes both routes, one on each side of an A3 sheet. Then a right of way dispute arose on a small part of the Brown Fen Waterways Trail, and until this was settled, the authorities were loath to make the leaflet available. However, we have received a copy of the leaflet recently, so hope it will be generally available soon. It would have been pleasant to sample The Brown Fen Trail, for example near Spalding in the Spring bulb season.

I don't think that page in the Cambridge Amblers has been updated for a while!! "On page 9 is the statement that a leaflet on the Black & Brown fens Waterways trails “will be available in March 2001“." anyone around who's a member of LDWA?
Cerrertonia Feb 2021 12:48pm, 15 Feb 2021 13,746 posts	0 Cerrertonia The fact that the LDWA don't even list it as a path (and they do include a large number that have no waymarking whatsoever and no particular legal status) makes me think that whoever is putting up the signs is doing so unofficially). There's a group in Cambs putting together a Fen Edge footpath that looks quite ambitious.
