The things at the top of the page are elm or wych elm seeds. Too early to be ripe, I think, so blown down?

Thanks for all your help in the identification, i'll have a look at my wildflower books and try to find the match. Wych Elm looks more likely than Linden. Is it possible that the squirrels which seem to like the trees are responsible for a lot of the seed leaves being on the ground? It hadn't been that windy.

It isn't lime / linden blossom; definitely young seed, and probably elm / wych elm.

Squirrels or birds could be pulling it down, but we had heavy rain and hail last week, brought lots of tree flowers down, especially ash, but some sycamore and wych elm.

Plenty of poppies in my garden! The bees love them.
