There are some Pictish stones on the local cemetery too. Not been down there for a while as they had been removed for preservation works. Now want to go check. The area is almost littered with archaeology.

First day in new job, so I rather overlooked this! Some excellent contributions and I never thought about stone either.
This is a house sign carved by my late father-in-law for us five houses ago. For sentimental reasons, Dr S has always packed it with the removals. (I don't think we'll ever live in a Cyder Cottage again!)
