Perhaps not getting sozzled at AGM on Friday would have helped, but what would be the fun in that.

Lol Damo. Proper afleet you are!

Mrs s, some from our club did that a few years ago. Sounded like great fun. I was surprised how "long" the relay legs were though. Enjoy. It's quite nice running down there, though busy with bikes and dog walkers often. And some bits not that picturesque, actually. But other bits lovely. :-) G

Good work Maz & MN! Loch Ness is still my favourite marathon, despite that hill at mile 20.

Hurrah champagne bunting medal. Very well done.

And to Metro_Nome as well, a fine assistant.

Maz was ace :)

And thanks D for your frank and honest advice on FB- you were dead right and if the marathon had been a day or two earlier, I wouldn't have done it

I am glad you were able to run M_N :-)

(The FB followed on from a rant I had a day before (though not on FB) related to "advice" given on a running group: easy to just trot out "encouragement" without thinking when there are zero consequences for the writer.)

And that you are ok after; well, aside from the usual stairs related issues ;-).

Fantastic Maz and Metro Nome, love Loch Ness. Not an easy one though, so double well done! :-) G

Thanks G :) not an easy one indeed- though I did chuckle a bit when somebody described it as the toughest marathon in Scotland. think there's at least a couple that could successfully rival it :P

Fort William is definitely harder - as I kept telling myself on Sunday. "If you can finish Fort William, you can finish this!"

The only other Scottish marathons I've done are Lochaber and Dumfries - tough to run now, as they're not on anymore :)
