Build up sensibly and you'll soon be back on top form, Vrap.

I feel a very long way away from where I was even last winter. But I have the gear and I have ideas and I'll put in a few weeks of bodyweight/dumbell conditioning then decide how to progress.

Funnily enough I went back into the other gym with Nic today (she dragged me there). Even though I've been doing my small group PT sessions (albeit not as regularly...) I had to start right back at the beginning of my program again, so I feel your pain, V'rap (and pretty sure I will literally feel pain tomorrow and Wednesday...)

I decided I really must do something about my flapping in the breeze bingo wings and had 'write programme for arm weights' on my to do list.

One set of 20 tricep dips, 10 shoulder press and 16 hammer curls with lowly 4.5kgs was QUITE enough, thank you.

Beanie will be pleased, Cath ;) I suspect I'll have DOMS from lifting tiny little weights tomorrow. Even getting the dumbbells out from under the bed felt like hard work, and the heaviest of them is 5kg :-O

I'm sure your relaxed triceps are not flapping in the breeze, Sharkie. And am also sure that some work with arm weights will do no harm.

Speaking of arms, whilst doing incline shoulder press today, I could see my nicely defined biceps and that made me smile :) It's not all bad, I guess...

Ok, exhibit A, jav pic on left.

Would like to claim that's muscle definition... but fear it's skin and wobble.

Dear god, sharks. I’m nearly 20 years your junior and would love to have definition like that (although apparently not quite enough to put in the work and not eat quite so much :-P )

... a weights wire for women.

And in case you're wondering about that title, well, I like alliteration and one can be too po-faced about the use of girl/lady/woman.

Here's a strength standards for women thing Duracel found for us
