I’ve struggled with the gym being closed. I’ve done just 4 Zoom PT sessions throughout lockdown. However, last weekend they did an outdoors session and I loved it! It was still only with dumbbells and a piece of cardio equipment - nothing shared - but it was the in-person feel that worked for me. I’m going again tomorrow - looking forward to it.

We’re lucky to have a home gym but lockdown has led to a total change in training for me. I lost the love of running (gradually getting back to it now but not loving it) so joined Les Mills Online. For a change of strength work I’ve been doing Body Pump recently.

Captain Malcolm Reynolds
Sallykate, I’ve been playing with Kettlebells for a while now, haven’t picked up a barbell in ages.

Steve Cotter is on YouTube & IG, he’s excellent but his YouTube is better for kettlebells. He’s got his own federation, the International Kettlebell Fitness Federation. Steve does Girevoy sport, the original kettlebell sport from Russia & the Ukraine & S&C work with kettlebells.

Nice going everybody.

I asked a while back about weight plate and bar suppliers and have been doing some research, mainly because i was slow off the mark and everywhere is sold out, but they're expensive, aren't they?

I thought has just lumps pf metal they'd be quite cheap

I've also pre-ordered an Olympic barbell from strengthshop EB 😊

Indeed lammo - expensive anyway, but some places /people have hiked prices right up due to demand. Loads of things still out of stock everywhere too.

We finally gutted the garage to make it a bit more of a home gym without risking crashing into various rubbish 😊
