I’m not going to do the pattern section so I can reduce the number of stitches cast on without worrying about that!

Yeah, that was the main thing that put me off, jelly.
Also I wasn't sure if I'd be eligible, and hate the thought of being on TV.
But mostly the up to 8 weeks away from home and work.

My dear friend, and incredibly talented fibre artist and retired teacher, Kate, would have been a perfect candidate, if only she hadn't died a couple of years ago.

8 weeks of filming with time away from home. I read that as more like the bake-off filming schedule of (I assume) consecutive weekends.

But it’s still a big commitment and I’m not sure how they get around the time it takes to knit things!
