My insurance has agreed to cover my physio referral, so that's good news. Still not running here. Feel like I'm inching closer towards getting back - but it seems like a mirage often, may try a mile again tomorrow. What's a marathon again?

Just booked in for a VO2Max / LT testing session in a lab next weekend. Son bought it me as a gift knowing I like data!

Coming off the back of a decent year of running, feels like as good a time as any to get some biological stats to correlate with the other stuff I know about me.

Intrigued to see how fast I can go in a maximal test like that, tbh. I doubt it will change much or anything about what I do, but will be intriguing to see what the numbers are and if it gives any hints as to how I should train myself. Can't complain when I'm not paying!

:) yes ok.
Well try to try to loose as much weight as possible πŸ˜‚
That won’t change the oxygen uptake of course, but the relative Vo2max numbers :)

A belated report of a 3:05:15 at last Sunday's NYC Marathon. Tough day out after an over-ambitious start on a surprisingly warm day. Headed off at ca. 3 hour pace but knew as soon as mile 12 that I was going to pay for it later, as confirmed by the fairly classic fade from about 19 miles. I just about held it together to the end but the uphill mile 24 almost broke me. Great experience though - no regrets :-)
