I've shelved my sub 3:15 ambitions for Berlin. I have been struggling with various low level niggles and general tiredness and have had to miss a few long runs. My top end speed is coming back a bit since last years injury woes but think I'll struggle on endurance over 26.2! Looks like it will be Thessaloniki, Greece in April for a sub 3:15 attempt (where I did my 3:18 PB in 2015 in shocking gale force winds and driving rain!).

Sorry to hear that Jovi. Hope the niggles are on their way out. Are you still going to Berlin for a fun weekend anyway?

I've not fallen in ages. I have an unfair reputation. Probably marked my card now and will have a fall to report tomorrow :-(

With the injury and holiday I am missing three weeks of training. Need to see where I am when back next week on the plan again. Hopefully not too far off.

Hi all - thanks for the kind comments. I'm still going to Berlin and still plan to run but it will be a steady enjoy the sights paced run rather than a PB attempt. I already feel a lot better with the pressure of having to run a fast one removed! :)

Sounds like a very sensible plan Jovi.

I for one am always encouraged when I see people posting on here that their plans have quite gone to plan and that they are readjusting their sights - it gives me confidence to know that if I were to hit a problem there's no reason to hide away and keep quiet about it, as the response here will be very supportive.
