Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I’ve never had tea in bed
Unless you count the cold tea mum would thrown at me when I was late up

When I grew up it was Dad that did the family tea round when we were all still in bed. I like to be up for my tea these days.

I'm generally up when Oscar the Spaniel wakes between 6:15 and 7:00 each morning (was 6:30 when I worked). Am hoping he won't spot that the clocks have gone forward tomorrow and I can have a few days (weeks?) of an extra hour 🤣

Only time I've had tea/coffee in bed has been when I've been in hospital. Occasionally I make Mr Ness a drink when we're away on holiday. Otherwise we don't have a drink until after we've showered and dressed.

As per ar, when growing up, Dad made and delivered tea in bed for all the family.
That stopped as we got to later teens and the rule was 'no breakfast if not down before 9'.

These days, no tea or coffee in bed, and wake up, get up, anytime between 7 and 9.

hotel rooms always take first tea back to bed, in the van can almost make it whilst still in bed

otherwise once up to make the tea it's easier to lounge on the sofa with it than go upstairs.
non retired Husband gets up at 5, I'm glad he doesn't bring me tea in the morning.

Usually one cup of tea in bed, made by whoever gets up first. Occasionally stretch to a second if we’re awake really early.

I drink a cup of rooibos tea in bed at night, but never tea in the morning, always coffee, and not in bed as I’d disturb MrH who is always still in bed when I get up
