I’ve been extremely busy for the last couple of weeks and my running has been a nice relief but also cut down to a minimum often; I’ve got every day but there’s been a lot of half hour runs.

One of the things making me busy is all done now so I’m looking forward to getting a few more miles in and paying more attention to the Tennessee scenery!

Sounds good, roberton. Good timing too, as we seem to be off that very dull Highway 64 and onto backroads now. A little bit more variety in the scenery than earlier too.

Total is 399.4 miles after this morning's run. I'm struggling with pain in various places in my left leg and still trying to run (slowly) through it rather than rest ... I'm hoping it's nothing serious, as I can't quite bear to think of letting the buzzard get closer to me. Will have to see how the next day or two go.

Not really sure, Vixx. It felt like a slightly pulled calf muscle three or four days ago, but I've been getting weird aches and pains everywhere from my heel to my hip since then.

My 10 min/mi average is down to about 12 min/mi and I am finding running pretty uncomfortable. I think I'm probably compensating for the original pull by running lopsidedly and that's throwing everything into disarray.

Oh no, advice from a doctor! ;-)

You're probably right, Doc. It's looking like a difficult balancing act from here. I know that's the right answer, but I am really keen to keep going on this challenge. I'm going to see how it goes over the next day or two and maybe scale right back to one or two miles a day. I have got more than a week of time built up, after all, so it's not critical ... yet.

I made it across the line officially today. I finished the miles yesterday but got the official confirmation today.

I got the email about registering for the return journey. 52 days for the trip back is a bit aggressive but I might look at the 360 or so for the 1,000 miles pin
