ChrisHB - I would estimate that over 95% is on public roads. No motorways, but there are one or two big swirly A-road roundabouts, so watch your step! ("No motorways" will be music to the ears of the current virtual LEJOG participants, who seem to send daily reports of where they are on the M5 or M6!) The rest is on recognised footpaths. I can't guarantee that they are all public rights of way, so keep an eye out for grumpy virtual landowners!

The route goes through Three Cocks... Also the option to go past Painscastle which has an amazing history but isn’t much to see now. My folks live in Llowes en.m.wikipedia.org |
