If the new proposal doesn't go through, then I am going to step away from it entirely. I don't need this sort of anxiousness in my life at the moment, or ever.

um Jan 2021 11:05am, 14 Jan 2021 4,057 posts	0 um KK - I suspect it's always better going with a solution to a problem (ie sounds like 'covid has changed the rules, the original plan can't be done') and giving a way to continue (more or less) with a changed plan & focus? What's not to approve or tune slightly rather than stopping it altogether. I hope your supervisor sees it the same way ....

The revised proposal was accepted; I don't have to do another viva; and my unofficial supervisor is now my official supervisor. We have pledged not to be any trouble to each other.

There's no guidance at all in the course literature, it just asks for CV and statement. I've done quite a few for job applications so am guessing it's probably similar in showing that I've got the experience and knowledge to cope with the course, plus something about why I want to do it? Any advice or tips welcome - thank you!
