pretty much all 'moisturisers' with SPF do not have enough. I have to wear sunscreen every day - so I need one that can cope with gong to work (with some make-up on top). I've got very reactive / allergic skin and rosacea so finding one hasn't been easy. I've recently started using a US product called Image skincare Daily ultimate protection moisturiser SPF50. It's a broad spectrum physical sunscreen, but it doesn't have a white cast, and I can use mineral make up on top for work and it doesn't flake or cake up - but you have order it or purchase through a clinic
for a 'standard' facial suncream - Avene and La Roche Posay are both pretty good. Strangely, I have also used Clinique city block SPF40 and it's been OK, and it's oil free, although most of their other products I can't even touch.

Thanks RS. They seem to have something about my ankles, for some reason. And if I get bitten by a horse fly whatever has been bitten doubles in size.

No! Missus!

What The Actual Fleecy
Most people with skin reactions to sunscreens are allergic to the fragrances added to sunscreens, so go for one without. I'm allergic to lots of fragrances so I used to get horrible excema from suncream and I try to go for sensitive ones as they tend to have less crap in them.

I use Neal's Yard sunscreen also and mix it in with my facial moisturiser. It smells lovely and contains no nasties.

ROTJ, I recommend Sun Sense SPF50 Daily Face sunscreen, which is slightly tinted, but I can't really see that. It doesn't seem to do bad things to my face that using the stuff I slather on my body would do...

I wear it every day in this weather, under makeup, as I am fair and my face gets blotchy brown patches really easily.

I also wear a peaked hat at all times when running in summer.

I use P20 out in the sun, a thin layer sorted me out for over 7 hours running around last weekend. It's pretty popular with the endurance crowd, (ironmen, ultra-runners etc...)

Never suffered with insects, maybe it's becasue I don't drink much beer, (red wine, cider and rum is a different matter) - see this article! washingtontimes.com
