I found Daley, during the recent world champs quite annoying, he just seemed so off-hand with everything, probably how he coped with his training, and actually said very little of any use, but that is par for the course bar Michael Johnson.

Daley came to our work for a motivational speech type thing. He was excellent, especially the anecdotes about his great rival (Hinxman or something?), with who he became, and still is, great mates.

I still voted Jonny, mind, because decathlon is an obscure athletic backwater about which we only give a flying stuff if we have a medal contender. And there’s only ever about 4 them at a decent level worldwide....
