Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hill rep session with my running group, the second time I've done one of these sessions.

The last time I did 5 reps in the 30 minute session, this time I did about 5.5 reps in the same amount of time! I did 6 reps in total but it took a bit longer than 30 mins, hopefully I can do 6 reps in 30 minutes next to time.

Well done Fragile :-)

Don't faint SAPs it me again - just survived 8x300m intervals, oh my, that will teach me for slacking off these last couple of months!! Oh and I have booked a 8k race in October and a 10k race in November ;-) And I have my eye on a nice Womble medal for a HM next year :-) Anything for a womble medal ;-)

Well done surviving the intervals! I need to get back to doing the speed work sessions more often now my calf is OK (touch wood), it's so tempting just to stick to medium & long slow runs.

Frag & Wom, well done for doing those sessions. :)

I haven't been running yet this month, it seems to be a bit of a cut-back week after last week. ;-) I binned Monday's track session as for once I didn't fancy getting drenched running round a school playing field. Manana........

Nice one Nut! :) Enjoy! ;-)

I went to pt on Monday but he didn't show. :( He'd overslept but I went back and did the session 1 hour later. I think he's still getting the measure of me, but you don't need to have DOMS every time. I'm going to circuits tonight so I'm only cutting back on the running this week.

July SAP 10 miler done and logged (I know, I know, it's August now :-o ). It would have been done on Sunday but I was somewhat uncomfortable and let common sense guide me ~ I'm still quite uncomfortable, but it's a scale thing :-) .

I make sure I 'go' before I leave home ~ I make sure I go five minutes before leaving and then again just before I leave ... even if it's just a tiny trickle, I get shot of it! ~ and I was bursting to go again just before the one mile mark ... and there's nowhere on the route to go until the end of the the fifth mile :-o . I'm classing running with a full bladder as an example of proficient multi~tasking!

Plenty of stops for traffic and lots of detouring around amblers ... and a (un)perfectly timed phone call in the last mile ...

And, somehow, I knocked 30 seconds off my PB :-)

My best parkrun time was set with a full bladder (bloody park toilets out of order), I've put it down to wanting to get back home as quickly as possible!
