Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Round our way scone pronounced s- cone is for posh people ( foreigners - i-e people who haven't lived in Norfolk for more than 30 years! ) local people say scone, pronounced 's- con' the E is silent.

By far the best scones to be found in Norfolk are in Byfords ( Holt ) and Wiveton Farm shop with Jarrolds cafe ( Norwich ) coming a close 3rd. They should be buttered not jammed and of the fruit variety as a cheese scone can be rather dry.

Ooooh - I love cheese scones (s + cones) from John Lewis, still warm with loads of butter and a great slab of cheddar! Nom-nom!

The best scones (s-cons) round here are made by Mrs Run To The Hills and sold in her cafe.
