LMH - thank you.
TR - fingers crossed we see the back of all of this soon.
Wardi - I know that area well. I was going to suggest heading somewhere away from Los Gigantes. I used to live in a small town 15k south of Alcalá called Armeñime when I was a youngster. Blink and you’ll miss it. Great weather for jogging.
Still man down here. Day 2 in bed feeling hideous earlier but hopefully over the worst of it now. Hoping it’s just a minor blip and I can resume training soon.

Wardi - Good find, that's the one. You choose a good time to be away. TR - It sure is. Nice 10m, was that before work as if it was, must have been nippy. Gérard- Unlucjy, though hopefully pistvthis lurgy you should be in the clear for a while.
Only the remnants of my own lurgy remain but as I have a race to sub3 at, ran 5m including 2@6.40 ish, which felt fine. My race number has come through 435, so am starting in the first wave so might hang around the back of the wave so a bit clearer a start and avoid starting too quickly. Running with the club tomorrow, as lots are Malaga bound, a slower effort on the flat.

Riggsy, sounds like improvement and hopefully the physio can pull things along.
TR, Farnborough would be 3 weeks out so think i'd rather get my head into a peak block of training. With the best will in the world if i am travelling that far for a half i'd want to do well which would mean a taper and a recovery so 2 compromised weeks.
TR, I couldn't cope with an MLR after work in the winter anymore. It's something I used to have to do all the time until the work from home era!
OO, hope the knee is feeling better? 500 parkruns is some commitment to the cause!
Ouchouch- I won't be running xmas day, kids still young and I want to make the most of that as in a few years they wont be.
Yes, the step up should be reasonably straightforward as it is literally just picking the long run up again. Hope the taper is going well, weight is in a good place. When do you fly?
Gerard, yes Tokyo is the 6th major. I fly out on the Wednesday but with flight time and time difference I dont get there until Thursday afternoon. Fly back then Tuesday morning. 2 days at home then I am off on my bi-annual (every other year, not twice yearly- not sure what the correct term is) rugby trip to Edinburgh Friday first thing to sunday night.
Hope you are feeling better, Gerard. We had one child off on Monday ill then the other yesterday.
Thanks, Wardi. I hope you've enjoyed the sunshine. You picked a good time to go!
Easy 8m yesterday, still recovering from the race, then today was 11m with 3 x 1m at threshold. I had a client Christmas event yesterday which started at 3pm and finished at 10pm with open bar so as you can imagine i didn't hit threshold paces at all!

Ouch- no racing in the group run
OO61 - swim and 11m is nice.
DT - good boozing and training mix. No wfh for me, but I do get to commute run
I'm in Chester, way too dark to run my usual canal and river routes, so have just ran up and down a 1in ish sloping section for 3m, wu and wd extras made 8m all in.
