WP, hope your achilles issues abate soon, so take it easy.

Well done on your tempo sessions lin and Ness! I did mine earlier this evening after work - the last two weeks I have found them quite hard, and I think they have been a little slower than weeks 2 & 3, but still faster than I’d run normally.

That takes me to the end of week 5, so halfway though now.

Well done Jenny, half way already, blimey where has that 5 weeks gone?

I've not ran for 9 weeks now and I probably won't for a few more either, then at the end of May I shall be fitting a new kitchen so I won't have time, if I'm mended by then.

I’ve just dropped out for a while. Having returned to work, at the moment I can’t put in the time required for three runs a week of the duration required. I know that I can play the joker for runs I can’t do, but that would be at least one a week.
Anyway, I retire on May 7th so I’ll rejoin then. I’ve enjoyed the Project so far and want to complete it.

Makes sense, ER. I'm finding Project Joker much easier now I'm not going to work. Hope you're last few working weeks go well.

That makes sense ER and not long to go either.

I binned idea of the intervals as yesterday Achilles was stiff and sore.To make it work for me I think I can alternate weekly between tempo and intervals, so one a week rather than two sessions. So it may take 20 weeks rather than 10 weeks?

Sounds like you’re adapting the plan to what suits you best, Welsh Poppy. Far better than risking injury.

Good interval session tonight. As usual the first two intervals were too fast but by interval 5 I’d settled into it and pace was spot on for intervals 5 to 10. Recovery was half walk/half jog which worked well.
