Today’s shock political news is that Andrea Jenkyns hadn’t already joined refuk some time back…who knew?

And she'll be REFUK's candidate in the election for mayor of the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority.
Never before have I been so keen to see the return of Humberside.

Yes. I wondered exactly what the point of this overly grand announcement was given she holds no political position. Then I also saw that part. She must have a decent shout at winning given current polling?

Though I see Ben Habib causing friction among Reform members too. Quits Reform, reading between the lines, for not being right wing enough.

Starmer in racist shock
“Sir Keir Starmer seized on the figures - which cover a period before Labour took office - to accuse the Tories of “running an open borders experiment”. He called the increase in net migration in recent years "off the scale". The PM promised that proposals for new laws to bring immigration down would be published "imminently".”
Anyone with friends, partner, family who have come to the Uk from overseas should not be voting Labour with words like this. Their loved ones can not be considered safe.
And I would think a lot of the incoming movement came from Ukraine and Hong Kong resettlement. The latter was certainly down to UK historic empire links.

So Starmer is effectively attacking the Ukrainian and HK folk who came to the UK
Boris Johnson for example said it was the right thing for those folk to come to this country and didn’t try to hide it. Which is a reminder to the public that there are real crises from which people flee and are deserving of sanctuary.
Imagine being more disingenuous than Boris Johnson! That’s Keir Starmer!
His tinpot right-wing hardman act is a barrel scraping attempt at populism from someone tanking in the polls and negates that important principle.

Def disappointed with Starmer carrying on the right wing war on immigration. Thought it was a sop to electorate so as not to lose election but he's enacting it now in government.
In hilarious chat at dinner out with former colleagues enquiring where everyone had been working, found out one had stood as a candidate for MP - for.... Reform. In Scotland. Eeejit! G
