An enjoyable run at vogrie today. Lovely and challenging route

Timings this year might allow me to run my first ever on Christmas Day. Looks like my local may also be doing NYD for the first time so I wont have as far to go. Might offer to double up run/volunteer

We’ve been lucky to have pretty good coverage over the Christmas period. I’ll volunteer on Christmas Day but plan to run elsewhere on NY, weather dependent.

A litany of errors saw me arrive at the start line at Ludlow 25s after the pack had set off after a badly planned 150m climb / 3 mile / part scrambling / bramble snagging run to get there.

My personal grumpiness about it soon disappeared though, it's a lovely (and probably the "trailiest" "singletracky" one I've done). Very mucky and muddy, slippy clay soil and very dynamic in terms of long and short ups and downs and twists and turns. Lovely welcoming team too.
