larkim obviously types quicker than I do.

My "old" laminated paper barcode didn't have ICE info (I registered before it was an option) and it's still useable, although I now have a wristband.

My thoughtful, but idiotic husband (Binks) very kindly got me a wristband printed with my barcode...and an ICE mobile number that used to be his, apparently, before we met, but hasn't been his mobile number for at least ten years now. Like I say, idiot.

He also forgot his barcode for our recent excursion to Cleethorpes, so doesn't have a result from that event. Doh.

My old-style wristband is beginning to be a bit flaky - sometimes has trouble scanning. I carry a printed backup (not always on me, sometimes in my bag but easy to retrieve if needed.)

Scanning from phones -

The barcode scanners don't work scanning phones. It's possible to get scanners that do but they cost a lot more than the ones we currently have.

The phone app will scan them, but for simplicity the rule has been kept.

Makes sense, especially when combined with the earlier chat about the fun of finish funnels

My OH bought me plastic versions of my barcode for a birthday, and had 'No medical issues. I like cake' printed on them in the additional information bit.

No ICE on our bar codes in our house. Didnt even know it was a thing until told my son off for not having the info. ( Seemed rather unreasonable)
